Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program followed by a successful completion of the National Certification Exam
for Occupational Therapy Assistants. Must display skill in the application of Occupational Therapy techniques and show an ability to work effectively with people
Responsibilities:
1. Under the direction of the OTR, carries out specific treatment of patients according to the plan of care established by the OTR.
2. reports observations, progress and change in condition of patients to the OTR
3. participates with the OTR in treatment planning.
4. Completes appropriate documentation on patients under their treatment, co-signed by the OTR
Physical and Specific Qualifications:
1. ability to handle intense physical demands of lifting, handling and moving patients, moving through the facility, stooping and working at different heights.
2. ability to communicate effectively with all personnel and patients.
